Hi, I’m Emily Dresser, the proud owner of Do Yoga Outside, a small Bend based business offering outdoor yoga experiences that connect our community to the breathtaking landscapes of Central Oregon. Do Yoga Outside is rooted in the belief that nature is a powerful space for healing, grounding, and connection. Practicing outdoors invites us to move with intention, breathe with the rhythm of the nature, and experience presence in a whole new way. Whether it's beneath a setting sun, beside a flowing river, or surrounded by towering trees, yoga in nature offers a deeper sense of calm, clarity, and belonging. As a certified Yoga Instructor, Wilderness First Responder, and Oregon Outfitters Guide, I create experiences that are not only intentional and welcoming, but also safe and deeply rooted in connection. I can’t wait to practice outside with you.
Halina Kowalski-Thompson (MA, LPC, NCC) is a licensed professional mental health counselor and therapist and Saunapreneur. Halina has spent 15 years as a clinical-researcher in the Portland Veterans Administration Hospital studying and applying novel treatments for PTSD and cognitive disorders. She is also a trauma-focused equine-assisted psychotherapy expert and served as the Military Services Director for the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (Eagala), where she wrote, procured and managed large scale Federal grants that provided services to Veterans across the Nation. Halina is a lifelong student of the healing arts with a passion for studying the ways in which our ancestors have healed throughout time. This passion is what ultimately led her on a quest to discover and resurrect her Baltic heritage and the thousands of years old tradition and wellness practice of authentic pirts/sauna herbal ritual and bath mastering. With staggering proven benefits not only to mental health, but also to whole health, Halina is a firm believer that traditional sauna is essential for addressing the main issues of our time – from detoxing environmental toxins, boosting immunity and cardiovascular health to addressing inflammation and chronic post-viral disease to relieving stress and balancing the traumatized nervous system – sauna is the medicine we need in this age and Halina is honored to be bringing forth out of previous obscurity this very rich wellness ritual to be shared with her community.

Sunrise Hike, Yoga and Bend Breakfast Burrito
Join Emily for an early morning hike and yoga session at Pilot Butte. We'll hike to the summit just in time to catch the sunrise, awakening our bodies with movement and fresh mountain air. After reaching the top, we'll ease into a 45-minute slow-flow yoga practice — perfect for stretching, grounding, and starting the day with intention. Following our practice, we'll come together for a community-style breakfast picnic. Bend Breakfast Burrito will be coming to serve us burritos, coffee and banana bread muffins!
Meet Your Co-Hosts:
Val + Trent, Bend Breakfast Burritos
Trent and Val started Bend Breakfast Burrito over four years ago to bring delicious, made-from-scratch breakfast burritos to Bend. What began as one cart has grown into two year-round locations, seasonal carts, farmers markets, and a thriving catering and delivery service. Our house-made salsas, baked goods, and burritos are crafted with care, fueling busy mornings and outdoor adventures alike. When we're not cooking and serving breakfast, you can find us adventuring with our kids, enjoying meals at our favorite food carts, and running around town training for the next Bend marathon!

Drake Park Yoga
Catch Emily teaching an hour of restorative flow at Drake Park every Tuesday from 5-6 PM. Bring a mat that can get dirty, a water bottle and come move your body! This is a slow moving, restorative yoga class! You’ll see me towards the boat ramp! Join our community of nature loving yogis! Class will be held when the weather is above 60 degrees. Check your email the day before for specific location and reminders!
This is a donation-based class, which helps keep it accessible to our community. At the same time, I am a small business and pay permitting fees for every class I teach in the park, so if you’re able to contribute, your donation is truly appreciated. You can donate when reserving your spot online, in cash at the event, or through Venmo.
If a donation isn’t possible for you right now, there are many other meaningful ways to support my small business. You can attend another event by checking out my event calendar, follow and engage with my content on social media, share my classes with friends or community members, apply for a scholarship for yourself or someone else, or leave a Google review. Every bit of support helps and is sincerely appreciated.

Yoga at ON TAP!
Join Emily for a morning of relaxation and connection at On Tap Brewing (10am-12pm)! Start your day with 60 minutes of slow yoga flow, suitable for all levels, where you can unwind and move mindfully. After class, stay for 60 minutes of community — grab a kombucha, tea, beer, or a delicious bite from the food trucks, and take the opportunity to meet new friends. It’s the perfect blend of wellness and socializing, all in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Come for the yoga, stay for the friends!
Everyone who attends will receive a token for one happy hour priced drink!

Breathe, Flow + Dance
Join Emily and Avery for a morning of connection and restoration. Starting with a breathwork journey, guided by Avery, leading into a gentle, yet energizing yoga flow with Emily and ending with a silent disco dance. Move. Breathe. Laugh. Let the wildness of nature (and your own heart) lead the way. Shake off the noise of everyday life and drop into something real — music, movement, community, and the magic of the earth beneath you.
Come as you are. Bring your full self. Let your body lead the way.
Meet Your Co-Hosts
Avery Smith
Hi, I’m Avery. Through breathwork and somatic healing, I guide you back to your true essence—supporting you in gently releasing old patterns and reconnecting with the wisdom of your body. My approach is trauma-informed and heart-led, creating a safe, supportive space to explore themes like trust, safety, self-expression, and aligned action. Together, we listen for what’s true beneath the surface and honor your body’s natural intelligence every step of the way. Whether you're seeking expansion, clarity, or a deeper connection with yourself, my work invites you to come home to your body—and to the truth of who you are.
